We are incredibly excited to announce the newest addition to our smoke machine lineup: the MicroFogger 4 Pro! Using the many years of experience we’ve gained from designing and manufacturing MicroFoggers, we’ve created the most reliable, powerful and advanced mini smoke machine we possibly could. We think you’ll love the new features so lets’s get over the improvements:
Double the power
The most noticeable improvement we’ve made with the MicroFogger 4 Pro is its massively increased output. Compared to earlier models, it will produce more than double the smoke thanks to the new, larger heating coils. With this increased power, it is easier than ever before to haze larger areas. As a rough guide, the MicroFogger 4 Pro will be able to fill a large 600 sq. ft. room with smoke in about 2 minutes. These new heating coils also let you run the MicroFogger in longer continuous bursts without wearing them out.
Improved fluid tank
When designing the new fluid tank, we went back to the drawing board to fix all of the concerns of previous versions and add as many improvements as possible. The new fluid tank assembly uses higher quality stainless steel parts and improved sealing gaskets which lets you keep fluid inside the fogger for extended periods of time without worrying about leaks. The new design also comes with a bigger reservoir which increases the liquid capacity up to 7ml, letting you run the MicroFogger for longer than ever before. Finally, we’ve re-imagined the filling procedure so instead of having to unscrew the entire tank to fill it, you can now just pop open the fill port and re-fill it in a matter of seconds!
Larger battery capacity
Our team has dedicated a lot of effort towards fitting a larger battery within the same, pocket-sized form factor of the MicroFogger which our customers have come to love. Although it wasn’t easy, we can proudly say that we’ve been successful so the MicroFogger 4 Pro now boasts a 50% larger battery than the 3 Pro. This boosts the continuous equivalent runtime at medium power to over 30 minutes, which would last for days in most SFX and airflow testing jobs. Of course, the continuous runtime will depend on the exact power setting you are using so at lower power levels, you can expect to get over an hour of use while full power will give you around 14 minutes of runtime
New software features
The MicroFogger 4 Pro comes with countless user interface improvements as well as a number of new software features. Within the advanced setting menu, you’ll find new options, allowing you to set the remote control to trigger timers/loops, turn off the control cable input and adjust the newly-introduced follow-through mode. This mode lets you set how long the fan will keep running for after each burst, allowing for faster smoke re-emission since there is no spin up time. This is particularly useful for SFX applications where a jet of smoke desired. We’ve also made the interface for adjusting the smoke speed and density settings a lot more intuitive to use.
Miscellaneous improvements
Although not deserving of a separate section individually, there are also many smaller changes which you will find on the MicroFogger 4 Pro. The ON/OFF switch on the bottom of the device has decreased in size to accommodate the larger battery. It is still feels and works the same, but is just half the width. Similarly, the tripod mount on the bottom has shifted locations more towards the left to accommodate the battery. Finally, the fan grille has been re-designed and now has a hexagonal pattern rather than a vertical grille for greater mechanical strength.
To recap, here are the improvements of the MicroFogger 4 Pro vs the MicroFogger 3 Pro:

- New software features such as follow-through mode
- Numerous bug fixes and usability improvements
As you may have noticed, the MicroFogger 3 lite has not been replaced by the MicroFogger 4 Lite yet. This will happen in the coming months and changes are expected to mimic the differences between the 3 and 4 Pro so you can expect to see the updated liquid tank, larger battery and other ease-of-use improvements. For now, the MicroFogger 3 Lite remains as our budget alternative.
Shipments of the MicroFogger 4 Pro will begin in early January and it can be pre-ordered today by visiting the appropriate product page.
Horizon
An impressive update but I feel I need to ask what will happen to existing yet still not fulfilled orders of the Microfogger 3 pro.
Prior to the release of this news (and still) no updates had been made to said order. As it contained both the discontinued model 3 and replacement coils for it I am of course apprehensive of the price difference.

Pending MicroFogger 3 Pro orders will come with a complimentary pre-installed nimbus tank upgrade kit (worth 60$) and normal replacement coils will be switched for nimbus tank ones to ensure compatibility. We’ll get all of these orders fulfilled prior to beginning shipments of the 4 Pro so you should be receiving an automatic email with the tracking number from us shortly.
