Starting the 3rd generation

Hello Everyone! As many of you may have seen, 2021’s electronic components shortages have hit everything from car companies to coffee machine makers and unfortunately, we’ve been affected as well. Due to this, we’ve been unable to get the MicroFogger 2 back in stock over the past few months so we’ve had to adapt and improvise. We’ve been working hard on developing and producing a version of the MicroFogger that is built using more readily available electronic components so that it can still be available to you even during the most severe of shortages. Today, we’re delighted to show you the culmination of all of our efforts: the MicroFogger 3 Lite!

As the name implies, the MicroFogger 3 Lite is our entry-level smoke machine; a simpler and more affordable MicroFogger. It retains great features such as an integrated rechargeable battery, high smoke output and small form factor. In fact, its battery life and smoke output volume are slightly improved over the MicroFogger 2. It does, however, lack the ability to adjust exactly how dense the smoke produced is and how quickly it comes out so when you activate the MicroFogger 3 Lite, it will always produce smoke at maximum power. The second major difference is remote control functionality. Natively, the MicroFogger 3 Lite can’t be remote controlled however we do sell a RC dongle that, when plugged into the MicroFogger 3 Lite, will allow you to use it with all existing MicroFogger 2 remote controls. This external remote control dongle also benefits from greatly extended range that allows you to trigger the MicroFogger through walls and over large distances of up to 35m. To recap, the things that have changed on the MicroFogger 3 Lite over the previous version are:

• No adjustment over smoke power
• No built-in remote control (unless you buy the RC dongle)
• Slightly improved battery and smoke output
• More affordable price
• Compatible will all existing MicroFogger accessories

As you may have already guessed, this generation’s product line will soon be completed with the MicroFogger 3 Pro and the MicroFogger 2 will be retired.

We’ve also added a new accessory and made a few changes to existing ones:

Circular diffuser – An attachment which is similar to our existing airflow testing rake but instead of spreading smoke out in parallel lines, it diffuses it circularly in all directions. This can be particularly useful for miniature photography as this attachment can be set down flat on any surface in order to produce a low-lying fog effect that lingers for a very long time!

100cm Control cable – A longer version of our existing 30cm control cable for applications where you need a bit more length but don’t want to solder on an extension.

Updated fog liquid bottle – A marginally improved fog liquid formulation and a new visual appearance thanks to the updated sticker.
