Thank you for purchasing one of our Nimbus fluid tank upgrade kits! Although we’ve designed it to be as easy-to-use and hassle-free as possible, it is still an advanced item which will push your MicroFogger to its maximum operational power so it’s very important to read all of the instructions and safety considerations before using the nimbus upgrade kit.
To make installation easier, we’ve made a video guiding you through the process which you can watch here:
As you can see, the installation process is pretty straightforward. We do, however, have a few tips that will help you prevent critical mistakes:
- when unscrewing the standard fluid tank base, make sure you are rotating it anti-clockwise
- if you can’t get the smaller plastic adapter piece into one of the two slots in the base of the nimbus tank, make sure these slots are fully open by rotating the metal ring. If they are only partially open, the small adapter piece won’t fit
- Don’t get blue glue on any of the rubber seals as this will corrode them and cause problems later on.
- When screwing the nimbus tank base into the MicroFogger, make sure it is perfectly perpendicular to the front face to prevent cross-threading and damaging the threads
In order to tell the standard and high output nimbus coils apart, you can either read the labelling on the outside of the heating coil or look into the barrel from which the smoek is generated:
- High output coils will have a narrow diameter hole in the center of the coil, standard coils will have a larger diameter
- High output coils have a “0.25” marking on the side while standard Nimbus coils have a “0.4” marking
As with the standard MicroFogger heating coils, make sure to wait at least 30 minutes between filling the fluid tank and using it when you’ve just installed a brand new coil. This allows the liquid to soak into it and lets it operate properly. Failure to do so will destroy the coil and you’ll need to replace it. To fill the fluid tank on the nimbus upgrade, you’ll simply need to slide open the top port and insert the end of the fog liquid bottle provided to fill it up.
During operation, never run the MicroFogger continuously for more than 10 seconds as this will wear the heating coil out faster and may make the device overheat. Also, make sure to frequently check the fog liquid level and re-fil it once it gets low.
If you are installing the nimbus tank upgrade kit onto an original MicroFogger (the first model from several years ago), do not use high output coils in it. The original MicroFogger will only work with standard Nimbus coils. Failure to follow this guidance will result in permanent battery damage.
