MicroFogger 3 Pro support page

Thank you for purchasing the MicroFogger 3 Pro! It is very important to read the instruction manual prior to using the MicroFogger as it contains essential information that you’ll need to use the MicroFogger safely and effectively. We’ve also made a quick start video which will guide you through the setup process and will explain key points. Please note that you must still read the safety guidance in the manual prior to using the device.

Troubleshooting

The fan spins and the screen shows it is running but no smoke comes out

This means that there is a loose electrical connection between the heating coil and the MicroFogger which can sometimes happen during shipping. Fixing it is very easy:

-Unscrew the fog liquid tank and set it aside
-Unscrew the heating coil (the small silver metal cylinder poking out of the fogger)
-On the bottom of the heating coil, you’ll notice a rectangular metal “loop” shape
-Gently pull this loop shape out by about 2mm, without pulling it out completely
-Re-install the coil, making sure that it is fairly tight.
-Re-install the liquid tank and try again!

If this does not solve the problem, please try using the spare coil provided in your package.

When I plug it in to charge, the screen doesn't turn on or shows irregular patterns

This behavior is a result of incorrect charging. In order to charge the MicroFogger, its toggle switch (located on the bottom of the device) has to be turned ON prior to plugging in the charging cable and has to be kept in the ON position during the charging process. If the switch is off, the battery is physically disconnected so will not charge. You’ll know that it is charging when the battery shows a charging animation

If this does not resolve the issue, please try using a different charger or cable combination.

The fogger makes a bubbling noise and no smoke comes out

If you hear a bubbling noise, immediately stop using the MicroFogger as this means the heating coil is flooded with excess liquid. To clear it, gently tap the MicroFogger on a surface while holding it upside-down to clear the blockage. Ensure you are tapping out excess liquid frequently to prevent blockages.

The MicroFogger starts making smoke when I plug in a charging cable

We only recommend using the charging cable we provide as other micro USB cables may be recognized as a control cable input by the MicroFogger if you have the charge lock setting off. Make sure to keep the charging lock setting ON to prevent accidental activation.

I've poured the fog liquid into the wrong port and now the MicroFogger is all wet

Although not great, this is fully recoverable. Please see the following guide on how to clean the MicroFogger from the inside-out:

The level bars for the fan or smoke power have disappeared

On some earlier MicroFoggers, a glitch may occur where the power bars for the settings may occasionally disappear. To fix this, press and hold hold the mode and select buttons at the same time for 10s, until RESET is displayed on the screen. This error has been fixed in version 3.1 of the firmware (from July 2022 onwards)

The remote control no longer triggers the MircoFogger

On some earlier MicroFoggers, a glitch may occur where the remote control can occasionally disconnect from the device. To fix this, press and hold hold the mode and select buttons at the same time for 10s, until RESET is displayed on the screen. This error has been fixed in version 3.1 of the firmware (from July 2022 onwards)

If this does not resolve the issue, please try re-binding the remote by going through the RC program procedure in the setting menu.

If this still doesn’t resolve the problem, please replace the batteries inside the remote control by prying open the case and installing new CR2016 coil cell batteries
