There are no moving parts in the PicoFogger. This means that it will always work, no matter how badly you treat it. Its flexible casing makes it completely drop-resistant the solid-state smoke generation technology doesn’t require liquid refills.

Lifespan

Despite its small size, a PicoFogger cartridge will last about a year in most airflow testing jobs (2000 puffs). When the cartridge runs out, it can be swapped with a new one in a matter of seconds.

FAQ

Do I need to fill the PicoFogger with fog liquid?
No, thanks to the solid-state smoke generation technology, all liquid is absorbed within a special material inside the device. As you use the PicoFogger, the liquid gets released as needed so you never need to worry about re-filling, or potential leaks.

Can I adjust how strong the output is?
Yes, by changing how strongly you squeeze the housing, you’ll be able to slightly adjust the consistency of the emitted smoke.

Does the PicoFogger get hot?
No, even if you continuously keep making bursts, it will only become slightly warm

How long does it last?
The PicoFogger will last for about 2000 smoke bursts.

Can the PicoFogger be stored indefinitely?
Almost! From the time you get your PicoFogger, you’ll have around 1 year to use it. Unlike traditional acid-based smoke testing tubes, it won’t go bad after using it for the first time, so you can keep using it intermittently.

Is the smoke safe to breathe?
The vapor generated is completely odorless and irritation-free. Please see the MSDS documents for the VG and PG components of the fog liquid here.

Will the smoke leave a residue once emitted?
No, it will not. The only situation where a trace residue may form is if you hold the tip of the PicoFogger right up against a surface while generating bursts.

Where is the on/off switch?
The PicoFogger doesn’t have any buttons, it senses when you press on the flexible housing thanks to the change in pressure. This means you don’t need to worry about turning it on or off

What happens once the battery and liquid runs out? 
The PicoFogger is a disposable device so once it runs out, you’ll have to purchase another cartridge to continue using it. Safely dispose of the empty in accordance with local recommendations. To swap cartridges, simply press on the bottom of the device, pull out the old cartridge and insert the new one, ensuring that the top is flush.
