Can the MicroFogger trigger smoke alarms?
Yes, if enough smoke is produced then ionization and photoelectric smoke alarms will be activated. Traditional heat-activated smoke alarms and sprinklers won’t be affected
Is it possible to change the smoke color?
Unfortunately not. The MicroFogger produces smoke through the evaporation of a fog liquid so it can only be white, adding a dye to the liquid will not change this. The only way to simulate colored smoke using the MicroFogger would be to light up the white smoke using some external lights.
Can I breathe in the smoke?
During proper operation, the fog produced is considered to be non-toxic but we do not recommend breathing it in anyway. The smoke can only become toxic if the safety precautions regarding the replacement of worn-out heating coils are not followed (this information will be published in the instruction manual).
What is the fog liquid made out of?
Our fog liquid consists of a high purity vegetable glycerin and propylene glycol mixture. These are commonly-available chemicals and may be found in local vape shops as base liquids for electronic cigarettes.
Can I use liquids from other smoke machines?
Liquids from other fog machines are usually far less viscous than our composition so if used in the MicroFogger, they are unlikely to produce any smoke. We can only guarantee the safety and performance of the fog liquid that we sell so if you decide to experiment with other compositions, this would at your own risk.
How long does the smoke linger in the air?
Depending on the atmospheric conditions, the smoke can remain in the air for up to an hour after being released. The main factor affecting this is whether or not there is any air movement, drafts or wind will greatly accelerate the smoke dispersion.
Do original MicroFogger heating coils work with the MicroFogger 2?
Absolutely, we’ve kept the heating coils the same so that you can already use any that you have previously purchased from us.
What obstacles can the remote control signal go through?
It really depends on the exact situation but in general, as a rough guideline, you will be able to control the MicroFogger though several thin plaster walls. Similarly, if you decide to put it into a cardboard or fabric enclosure, you shouldn’t encounter any issues. On the other hand, metal barriers such as car doors will usually block the signal although we have been able to activate the MicroFogger while it was inside a car hood.
Can I control the MicroFogger 2 via a wired remote?
Yes, the usb charging port also doubles as a signal input which allows you to trigger the MicroFogger using an Arduino or other micro controller of your choice, simply short the two middle usb pins using a relay.

Not the foggers that I ordered. I was sent the Micro Fogger 3, even after I sent the email before the deadline stating that I wanted the Micro Fogger 2 and not the replacement version (3) with the dongle and remote. The ability to adjust the output with the selected buttons, was one of the reasons that I wanted the Micro Fogger 2. I already purchased one a few months ago and really liked it. Plus, knowing that there was a delay in the shipping of the Micro Fogger 2, I also sent an alternative address (my home) because the other address would not be a good one, since our production was shutting down between seasons. No response to that, the 2- Micro Fogger 3 units arrived at the old address (luckily, they were open a few more days), and nothing stating anything about my response email when I said that I was willing to wait for the 2’s to become available. Love my original Micro Fogger 2, but not at all happy with this new order.

Awesome product! The package arrived with all products nicely tucked inside, and the Microfogger 2 worked exactly as we hoped. We originally bought it to add cinematic effects on video/photos, but since then it has multiple uses because we’ve also used it to find drafts (from windows, etc) in rooms to cover & weathershield for the winter season. The fog is beautiful and it fills up a decent sized room very quickly, from just a couple short bursts. And the best part is how light and portable it is, with great quality fog. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase – and I highly recommend it!!

The fogger works well but the quality of the plastic of the body isn’t great. Seem a bit cheap and the inscription of the logo “microfogger 2” is done I believe with laser engraving and is done pourly, also the buttons, I can barely see which one has a + or – symbol on it…

I asked for help several times by email for my Micro Fogger 2 which no longer turns on after 2 months without use. (purchased in December 2019). I only had one return from Ivan asking me only to recharge the machine for more than 4 hours and then nothing…
Due to a shoot I had to buy a new full price. Strangely they are much more responsive when you buy … I hope this one with the alternator on / off will be reliable ..

Lorsqu’elle est lourde elle reste bien basse, comme avec de la neige carbonique.
Le débit et la densité sont réglables.
La télécommande permet un placement sophistiqué, l’utilisation simultanée de plusieurs MicroFogger 2, et une plus grande liberté de mouvement ; on peut shooter à distance sans se soucier d’être proche de la machine pour la déclencher.
Idéal pour les très petites scènes intérieures comme extérieures, et les petites scènes intérieures, si l’on veut beaucoup de fumée.
N’est pas fait pour inonder un château ou une forêt.
L’autonomie est bonne. Permet de réaliser sans souci une séance complète.
Son filetage 1/4” autorise la fixation sur du matériel standard.
Non négligeable : les explications de mise en route et d’utilisation données sur le site sont claires et concises.

First off, this product is great and does exactly what it’s supposed to. We used it for a short film in Feb 2020, hidden in a well to create smoke coming out for our wide shots and operated it with the remote. The remote was hit and miss with distance, but it did what we needed and looked fantastic.
It does however still need a bit more R&D to perfect.
The filling process is tricky and it runs out pretty quickly. A larger reservoir and easy fill system is needed.
Also the controls are a bit confusing. You have to press the power button 5 times to turn on, then press and hold buttons to switch functions.
With a bit of funding and more R&D, this product would sell really well in the Indie film market. The price would need to come down a bit too, but that would happen with larger volume.
We’ll definitely be using it again, and I highly recommend it with the noted caveats above.

At last I get the micro fogger after one month that I ordered it. The problem was not the company Workshop science , but te Belgium customservices and health services . They confiscated the microfogger. They tought it was an ilegal e-cigarete. After a few calls they released the microfogger and send it to me undamaged and it works great ! The company send me a mail and wanted to help. I give them a tip to send whit in the Item a lettre for customs services to explain what te Micro fogger is, and isn’t. to avoid this issues in the future. They say they will do . So at last I ‘m happy with te Micro fogger .works well for my magic stuff.
